The Easterly in St. Thomas is seeking a Kitchen Support team member to help with daily prep, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and assist in receiving vendor deliveries. The role is flexible and may include additional duties as required to support restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with morning prep and ingredients according to Chef’s recipe and quality standards.
• Keep kitchen, dish station, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Wash, sanitize, and organize small wares, dishes, glasses, and utensils.
• Receive, inspect, and organize vendor deliveries with FIFO procedures.
• Assist with portioning proteins and simple menu items when trained.
• Replenish ingredients and supplies at kitchen stations.
• Maintain clean floors, drains, mats, walls, and work surfaces.
• Monitor food safety and cleanliness standards for a safe kitchen.
• Help organize walk-in coolers, freezers, and dry storage.
• Stock shelves and storage areas.
• Communicate with Chef and Manager on duty about kitchen needs.
• Work with speed, efficiency, and pride in cleanliness.
• Set a collaborative tone with open communication among staff.
• Be a culture builder with positive energy, reliability, and pride.
