Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Glenshaw, PA is looking for a Food Service/Prep Aide to assist the cook in preparing and presenting meals for residents and guests. You will help with dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and supporting dining room service as needed.

The role requires good organizational skills, the ability to work in a team, physical stamina, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Good organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operation and equipment.
• Able to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and carry heavy objects up to 20 ft.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and kitchen areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items as requested.
• Portion and plate salads and desserts.
• Assist with cleaning of kitchen, floors, and equipment.
• Set up and run dishwashing operation and keep dishwasher clean.
• Check water temperatures and maintain sanitation equipment.
• Stock food on shelves and in the refrigerator.
• Assist with dining room service as needed.
• Attend in-service and staff meetings.
