Job summary

Terrain Café, part of URBN, is seeking a hardworking Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team in Westport. You will help keep service ware and kitchen equipment clean, sanitized, and ready for use in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll support a garden-to-table concept by maintaining a safe, organized kitchen, handling deliveries, prep tasks, and general maintenance while staying flexible with shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 50+ lbs in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Work in hot, wet, loud environments.
• Maintain cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Punctual and dependable team player.
• Flexible availability including mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate dish machines and sanitize dishes, tools, and kitchen equipment.
• Wash and store dishware correctly.
• Handle dishes to avoid breakage.
• Monitor dish machine performance and report issues.
• Keep dish pit, floors, prep areas clean and organized.
• Assist with deliveries, prep work, and general maintenance.
• Stay productive during slower periods with high cleanliness standards.
• Take direction from chefs and managers.
