Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold valid California driver's license and be able to show proof of insurance.
• Preferred: Food Handler's Card.

Responsibilities

• Schedule kitchen workflow to ensure timely meal preparation, service, and cleanup.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff and beneficiaries in food preparation techniques.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and coordinate preventive and emergency repairs.
• Perform bi-weekly inventory and rotate food stock to ensure freshness.
• Order food within budget while meeting nutritional requirements.
• Maintain vendor relationships, including the local Food Bank.
• Manage petty cash for food purchases and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and serve meals as needed.
• Coordinate with professional staff regarding beneficiary services.
