Job summary

Gokroc in Perris, CA is seeking a full-time kitchen supervisor to work at the Salvation Army Adult Rehab Center. You will schedule workloads, train kitchen staff and beneficiaries, enforce food-safety standards, and maintain equipment and inventories.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited food service program.
• Minimum 1 year of institutional cooking experience with management responsibilities.
• Must hold a California driver’s license and have proof of insurance.
• Criminal background check and driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule kitchen workload to allow for timely meal preparation, serving and clean-up.
• Train and supervise kitchen personnel, including beneficiaries on proper cooking techniques.
• Train and supervise kitchen personnel, including beneficiaries, on food safety, work safety and kitchen sanitation.
• Assure that kitchen equipment is maintained in good working condition & schedule repairs.
• Perform bi-weekly inventory of all unused items and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Order food within budget and nutritional considerations.
• Develops and maintains vendor relations with multiple suppliers including the local Food Bank.
