Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is hiring an Assistant Kitchen Supervisor to oversee beneficiaries in the kitchen, manage inventories, plan menus, place orders, and run canteen operations. This role supports our rehabilitation program and ensures efficient kitchen operations.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour, full-time, 40 hours per week. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, ServSafe and allergen training, and prior kitchen management experience.

Qualifications

Job Overview

Join our team in "Doing the Most Good" as an Assistant Kitchen Supervisor at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. In this role, you'll oversee beneficiaries in the kitchen while managing inventory, menus, ordering, and canteen operations. This position is crucial in maintaining efficient kitchen operations while supporting our rehabilitation program.

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Status: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week

Additional Information

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Training

• Train beneficiaries on Kitchen Safety and Compliance protocols
• Supervise daily work therapy performance, including cooking and cleaning
• Provide regular feedback and direction to beneficiaries
• Ensure compliance with Health Department policies

Menu & Inventory Management

• Create and update menus using Cycle Menu Management System
• Maximize use of donated goods
• Maintain kitchen and canteen inventories
• Generate timely orders based on stock, cost, and needs
• Source and coordinate food donations

Operations Management

• Monitor canteen sales and card tracking
• Maintain kitchen log communications
• Execute Health Department policies
• Prepare for regular inspections
• Coordinate with Kitchen Supervisor on all operations

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• ServSafe and Allergen training certifications required
• Kitchen management experience preferred
