Job summary

UNC Charlotte Marriott in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to lead the hotel's culinary team in daily production, preparation and presentation of all food, while ensuring safety and sanitation.

You will manage staff, control food and labor costs, train and motivate the team, and collaborate with management to keep the kitchen running smoothly in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience 1–2 years in a related kitchen/culinary role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and HACCP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the kitchen to ensure a quality, consistent product.
• Oversee staffing in production and preparation areas to attract, retain and motivate employees and maintain a safe work environment.
• Schedule and supervise sanitation of kitchen, equipment and related areas to meet safety standards.
• Assist in monitoring and control of labor and food costs.
• Promote safety programs to minimize liabilities and expenses.
