Overview
As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will primarily be responsible for overseeing and supporting the back‑of‑house staff, ensuring smooth closing procedures, managing the prep list, and assisting with closing duties.
Responsibilities
- Manage expo operations to ensure efficient and timely food delivery
- Execute closing duties, including cleaning and organizing the kitchen for the next shift
- Supervise and support hourly staff members, providing guidance and assistance as needed
- Maintain and update the prep list to ensure adequate inventory for upcoming shifts
- Complete closing tasks and ensure kitchen readiness for the next day
- Continuously check ingredient quality and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages
- Monitor kitchen operations to uphold quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain a cohesive work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays
- Strong kitchen experience
- Kitchen team supervisory experience preferred
- Passion for providing exceptional service to guests and team members
- Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers and supervisors
