Job Title: Kitchen Supervisor

Description

Job Overview: Assign, coordinate, and supervise the set-up and food production areas within the kitchen to maximize productivity and ensure food quality, set-up, and service are in accordance with standardized recipes and procedures. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of culinary supervisory experience in a hotel.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Assign and direct the work and train kitchen associates to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
  2. Inspect daily use records with the Executive Chef or Sous Chef to ensure accuracy and adherence to estimates.
  3. Pull all food needed for daily production from walk-in boxes and utilize leftovers efficiently.
  4. Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to staff.
  5. Attend all staff meetings, contribute solutions to issues, and promote effective communication within the kitchen.
  6. Maintain good housekeeping practices and enforce the 'clean as you go' policy.
  7. Inspect work stations to ensure proper setup for meals.
  8. Prepare daily production charts.
  9. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
