Job summary

Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa is seeking a diligent Kitchen Steward to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen. You will support cooks by washing, sorting, and organizing ware, and ensuring equipment is cleaned and ready for service.

Responsibilities include operating dish machines, de-tarnishing silver, sanitizing surfaces, transporting utensils, and reporting inventory and safety concerns. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Excellent safety and sanitation skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers certification or obtain upon hire.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled ware promptly for the dish or pot machine.
• Wash all ware quickly and replace in storage areas.
• Keep dish machine clean and filled with water per hotel standards.
• De-tarnish/polish silver for proper appearance.
• Clean kettles, skillets, pots and pans for cooks.
• Transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware for guest dining.
