Sage Hospitality Group operates Embassy Suites Bethesda and is seeking a Steward to join the Culinary team at Embassy Suites by Hilton Bethesda in Bethesda, MD. The role provides the restaurant and kitchen with clean and sanitary ware, supporting dishwashing operations and general cleanliness to maintain health standards.

You'll help with loading/unloading dish racks, polishing utensils, keeping the dish room tidy, and assisting the kitchen team during shifts in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of dishwashing and cleanliness practices.

Responsabilités

• Gathers all dirty dishware from tubs, rinses and stacks in dishracks and clears leftovers.
• Loads and operates the automatic dishwashing machine per instructions.
• Controls detergents and chemicals and maintains dishwashing output.
• Unloads clean dishes, inspects cleanliness, and stacks for staff use.
• Manually scrubs pots and pans, dries and stores correctly.
• Polishes silver, stainless steel, and pewter to present clean equipment.
• Maintains dishwashing equipment and ensures health compliance.
• Keeps dish room clean and orderly, sweeps and mops as scheduled.
• Cleans kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, hoods, vents, and ovens.
• Empties trash and maintains dock and entrance areas for safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
