Job summary

Sage Hospitality Group is seeking a Steward for the Embassy Suites by Hilton Bethesda to support the Culinary team with clean, sanitary wares and equipment. The role focuses on maintaining a hygienic dish room and assisting kitchen operations in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Candidates should have basic dishwashing knowledge; training and development are emphasized in a collaborative, hospitality-driven environment in Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

• Education/Formal Training: None
• Experience: None
• Knowledge/Skills: Must have basic knowledge of dishwashing.

Responsibilities

• Gathers all dirty dishware from tubs and rinses/ stacks in dishracks.
• Operates automatic dishwashing machine and follows instructions for loading.
• Pours and regulates dishwashing chemicals to control output.
• Unloads clean dishes and stacks for easy access by staff.
• Polishes silver, stainless steel and pewter to present clean equipment to diners.
• Maintains dishwashing equipment and keeps dish room clean and sanitary.
• Cleans kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, hoods and ovens as scheduled.
