Job summary

Sage Hospitality Group is seeking a Steward for the Embassy Suites by Hilton Bethesda, to support the Culinary team with clean and sanitary ware and to maintain a sanitary dishroom. This entry-level role emphasizes dishwashing, basic cleaning, and following health standards in a fast-paced hotel setting.

The position involves loading/unloading dishwashers, polishing silver and stainless steel, and keeping the dish room tidy.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of dishwashing.

Responsibilities

• Gathers dirty dishware, rinses and stacks for washing.
• Operates and monitors automatic dishwashing equipment.
• Manages dishwashing detergents and chemicals.
• Unloads and stacks clean dishes for use by staff.
• Cleans and polishes kitchenware and maintains sanitary conditions.
• Maintains equipment and cleanliness of the dishwashing area.
• Cleans kitchen surfaces and floors as scheduled.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
