Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Washington, DC is seeking a dedicated dishwashing team member to help maintain a clean, efficient kitchen and support daily store operations.

You will wash and sanitize dishes, manage kitchen supplies, assist with deliveries, and provide courteous service to customers and teammates while following health, safety, and quality standards.

This role requires reliability, a good work ethic, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds; standing 6-8 hours.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with health and sanitation standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares.
• Maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.
• Assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed, dressed and ready to work; attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
