Job summary

Kiawah Island Golf Resort is seeking a Steward (Non Exempt) to support our kitchen team by cleaning dishes and maintaining a clean work environment. The role involves cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen areas, with some light food preparation and a need for flexibility across shifts.

The position emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to health and safety standards in a busy dining operation on site.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest experience in the dining setting aside from cooking.
• Assist with minor food preparation.
• Perform a variety of duties each shift.
• Multitask with a flexible work style.
• Ensure plates, glasses, bowls and silverware are clean between uses.
• Operate industrial dishwashers and hand polish as needed.
• Keep kitchen and storage areas clean at all times.
• Clean industrial kitchen appliances (stoves, grills, freezers, ovens).
• Meet health and safety standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and dress code.
• Safely use commercial dishwashers, glass washers, basic culinary tools and cutlery.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
