Job summary

The Summit Hotel is seeking a Kitchen Steward in Cincinnati, OH to maintain high sanitation standards across the kitchen and dining areas. You will support dishwashing operations, assist with manual cleaning tasks, and help prepare equipment for service.

Qualifications

• Some High school education or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Must have dexterity to handle dishes and kitchen items.
• Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Gathers all dirty dishware from tubs and loads them into dish racks for washing.
• Operates the automatic dishwashing machine and monitors detergent/chemicals output.
• Unloads clean dishes, inspects for cleanliness, and stores them for staff use.
• Manually scrubs pots, pans, and other equipment not suitable for machine washing.
• Polishes silver, stainless, and pewter to present clean, attractive equipment.
