Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service is seeking Student Stewards to support the culinary team by keeping a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining area, managing supplies, and helping create a positive atmosphere for coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, stocking, stocking shelves, cleaning floors, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring safe food handling. Strong teamwork and reliable communication with management are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Food safety handler and sanitation certification (or obtain within 30 days).
• High school or vocational coursework in kitchen basics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room.
• Wash kitchen utensils, equipment and dishes using a dishwasher or by hand.
• Put away clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans.
• Stock supplies in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
• Sweep and wash floors.
• Sort and remove trash to designated pickup areas.
• Assist in food prep as directed by Head/Sous Chef.
• Assist in unloading deliveries.
• Maintain a positive attitude with coworkers and customers.
• Communicate regularly with management via calls, emails, and texts.
