Job summary

You will assist the cook and dishwasher, restock line supplies, uphold portion sizes, and help with inventory and client meal needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Entry level kitchen experience desired.
• At least 6 months experience with food volume production or culinary/hospitality training.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen.
• Able to handle knives and food preparation equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Supports the kitchen in safe handling, holding and serving of food.
• Restock line supplies and stock ware.
• Assist the cook, dishwasher and stock worker.
• Ensure proper food handling, temperatures and portion sizes.
• Support volunteers and manage client meal needs.
• Keep the serving area clean and dispose of leftovers properly.
• Sign invoices for deliveries when key staff are unavailable.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen area and equipment.
