Job summary

Stratosphere Gaming, LLC is seeking an Utility Cleaner to support culinary operations with deep cleaning of kitchen equipment, floors, and surfaces. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and timely guest service within a fast-paced environment.

You will operate cleaning equipment, follow OSHA guidelines, and maintain clean work areas while upholding the company’s guest service culture. English proficiency and 18+ are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant experience preferred; STA Kitchen Worker certification preferred.
• Knowledge of proper stove and equipment cleaning techniques.
• Familiarity with handling industrial cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious workplace.
• Ability to input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Must be 18 years or older; English proficiency.
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
• Verify right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture.
• Perform deep cleaning of kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, floors, grills, broilers, and other surfaces.
• Conduct high-dusting throughout the kitchen and beverage outlets to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals per OSHA regulations and company policies to sanitize equipment and workspaces.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, sinks, garbage disposals, and other cleaning equipment; perform basic breakdown and reassembly as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas throughout the shift.
• Transport garbage, recycling, and debris from kitchen and bar areas to designated disposal locations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position.
• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
