Job summary

Earthbound, a leading brand licensing and product design firm in New York, seeks a hands-on Senior Designer for hard kitchen products destined for Walmart private label. You will own design from concept through production, balancing brand integrity, cost targets, and manufacturability.

The role splits roughly 50/50 between in-house design and supplier co-creation, with close collaboration across teams in Bentonville and Walmart, attending line reviews and presenting concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field.
• 4–7 years designing hard kitchen or housewares for retail.
• Hands-on experience in tabletop, food storage and/or decorative kitchenware.
• Knowledge of food-contact safety and mass-market production.

Responsibilities

• Design original hard kitchen products from concept to production-ready artwork.
• Co-create with suppliers: share direction and review samples.
• Review CADs, renderings, and strike-offs with feedback on form and finish.
• Work with Bentonville Product Development and Walmart partners on timelines.
• Present concepts in alignment meetings and line reviews.
• Troubleshoot design issues balancing cost and manufacturability.
• Coordinate with kitchen textiles and broader home team.
