Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Scotts Valley, CA seeks a prep cook to assist the Food Services Manager with daily kitchen and dining operations. You will help with food preparation, inventory, and keeping leftovers stored properly, while also helping clean and maintain equipment and break areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Food Handlers certification is required.
• Experience working in a kitchen is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with any food service preparation.
• Assist with inventory procedures.
• Store leftovers and unused food after each meal.
• Clean and care for the kitchen, work areas and equipment.
• Maintain the staff break room cleanliness and upkeep.
• Attend and participate in training and conferences.
• Wash and store dishes, pots and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas.
• Prepare clean-up pans, cloths and spatulas.
• Clean outside trash and mop storage.
• Other related duties as required.
