We are seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations of the soup kitchen program. Responsibilities include supervising food preparation and cooking, maintaining inventory, and ensuring safety, cleanliness, and adherence to Salvation Army policies. The role involves managing volunteer kitchen staff and ensuring quality food service to clients.

Responsibilities
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and open the kitchen.
  • Prepare various meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other foods using kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure the quality of all food products.
  • Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules.
  • Adhere to Salvation Army policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of food supplies to prevent shortages and ensure freshness.
Qualifications
