Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. seeks a kitchen helper to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and support occasional catering.

You will perform all kitchen positions and ensure foods are held at proper temperatures. You will set up serving lines, assist in recipe preparation, operate equipment with certification, maintain clean areas, follow FIFO, and observe HACCP and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and present information to customers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure and compute rates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
• Prepare foods according to menu plans and Opaa! recipes; batch cook as needed.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and kitchen equipment.
• Follow FIFO and HACCP procedures; keep records and temperatures.
• Handle customer monies at service time and operate a POS system.
• Submit hours worked and assist with daily production records.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
