Job summary

The New Hampshire Food Bank in Manchester, NH is seeking a dedicated Production Prep Cook (40 hours/week) to support the Production Chef and Chef Instructor with food preparation, volunteer coordination, administrative duties, and outreach activities including catering and food truck events.

Qualifications

• Food prep knowledge and experience in using knives and commercial kitchen equipment.
• Experience or training in a fast-paced commercial kitchen is preferred.
• ServSafe Manager's Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Forklift Driver Training/Certification within twelve months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Culinary Team in food production.
• Assist Production Chef in the preparation of partner agency meals.
• Guide volunteer opportunities within the kitchen related to bulk meal production and cleaning.
• Maintain temperature logs and inventory records daily.
• Support outreach and events including catering and food truck as directed by the Chef Instructor.
• Maintain cleanliness of all culinary department work areas and equipment.
• Pick agency meal orders and maintain inventory control.
