Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a Food Service/Prep Aide to support cooks in food prep and presentation within a senior living dining operation. You will manage dishwashing, sanitize dishes, and assist in dining room service as needed, while upholding cleanliness and safety standards.

The role requires ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. We offer 401k, career laddering, and balanced scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
• Must lift 50 lbs and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operation and use of kitchen equipment.
• Ability to understand and retain simple instructions and apply them to position.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in the preparation and presentation of food.
• Manage the dishwashing area and maintain cleanliness of dishes, silverware, and glassware.
• Stock food on shelves and in refrigerator; check water temps and sanitation equipment.
• Set up and run the dishwashing operation, keeping the dishwasher clean and debris-free.
• Assist dining room service as needed, e.g., pouring beverages.
• Report problems to supervisor; attend in-service and staff meetings.
• Provide superior customer service to residents and guests.
