POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for smooth and efficient operation of the dish area. Reports issues with the dish machine or when the soap and sanitizer need ordering. Responsible for maintaining clean dishes and the cleanliness of the dishwasher area, distribution of clean dishware to all outlets. Trash removal, floor maintenance and other duties are not limited to only cleaning as assigned by management. Promotes professional working relationships with both internal and external customers. This position is nonsupervisory in nature. Adheres to and supports all organizational policies and procedures and standards. Promotes teamwork!

Responsibilities And Duties
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Must have the ability to maintain sanitary working conditions in accordance with Company procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assists Culinarians with minor food preparation which may include dicing/prepping vegetables or minor baking assistance. Entry level food production.
- Prepare and load racks properly to go into the dishwasher machine. Proper sorting of all items washed.
- Ability to operate dishwasher machine and maintain proper operation including cleaning and draining of the machine.
- Inspect all items washed to ensure clean and rewash if needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of all work areas, including walls and floors.
- Trash removal, sorting and disposal per company requirements.
- Willing to assist other team members.
- Depending on location and necessity of kitchen/dining room: During shift, if need be, replace or fill salt & pepper, restock napkin holders, drink counters with any items necessary as required.
- Based on business needs, may be required to work at other venues as assigned. There are two main events per year with the possibility of others internally.
- Other duties as requested/assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- One year of previous food service or Kitchen Porter experience is preferred.
- Food Safe Certification or the ability to pass the test and become food safe certified with the food handler's certification card.
- Knowledge of food service preparation and services is preferred.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to interact clearly and effectively with both internal and external customers.
- Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check.
- Driver’s License and driving record must follow Company policy. Must maintain current automobile insurance (if the position requires the individual to drive for Company in their own vehicle or any Company Vehicle).
- Must have basic computer skills to include the ability to send and receive emails, and other computer required tasks.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with participants, co-workers, vendors, medical staff, and the public.
- Must be free of communicable diseases that can be readily transmitted in the workplace and have all immunizations up to date before providing direct care. TB test is required within first 7 days of employment. Hep Band Influenza (during flu season) vaccinations are offered but not required.
- Operates in full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local fire, health, safety, sanitation, Emergency procedures and other Standards prescribed in law or regulations.
- Comply with all Federal and State mandates that Rocky Mountain Health Care Services recognizes and follows. This is including COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster shot, as well as wearing approved mask regardless of vaccination status. This will remain in effect until the company changes this policy.
