Job summary

HELP USA is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to support the food services team at a transitional shelter site in New York. You will assist with meal preparation, service, and maintain kitchen cleanliness while supervising Residential Aides and tracking daily meal counts and inventory.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, English literacy, and a Food Handlers License, with 3+ years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous related experience in food service.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to keep a simple inventory of supplies on hand and needed.
• Food Handlers License required.
• Three years related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, food service, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Keep daily meal count records and accurate inventory records.
• Supervise appointed Residential Aides and report to Safety Director.
