Job summary

MadTree is seeking a Kitchen Manager for Alcove in Cincinnati, OH. You’ll own kitchen operations, mentor a high-energy team, and ensure top quality and consistency from prep to plate. You’ll manage food costs, inventory, labor, and vendor relations while keeping a focus on hospitality and community impact.

You’ll collaborate with events, develop SOPs, and embody MadTree’s warm, purpose-driven culture. Expect growth opportunities and a dynamic, nature-inspired work environment at Parks & Rec.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen leadership and people management in a high-volume setting.
• Experience managing food costs, inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Proven ability to train, coach, and develop team members while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the kitchen team through recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Maintain food quality and consistency through active floor presence and regular checks.
• Manage food cost, inventory, labor, waste, and report metrics weekly.
• Schedule staff based on forecasts and budget targets.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards; coordinate equipment maintenance.
• Partner with Events for catering planning and on-site supervision.
• Develop SOPs and training programs for kitchen operations.
• Foster a positive kitchen culture and engage leadership on differentiation goals.
• Respond to guest feedback promptly and support performance reviews.
