Job summary

Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe in Providence, RI is hiring for kitchen roles. Experience is welcome but not required as we train you to cook fresh Mediterranean-inspired dishes daily. You will work in a team-focused, fast-paced environment and contribute to high standards of food safety and customer service.

Base pay is discussed with a high-paying tip pool, and a clear career path to ownership is offered. We value reliability, professionalism, and a can-do attitude in every shift.

Qualifications

• Experience is great, but not required – training is provided.
• Must work well in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to operate all necessary kitchen equipment and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh food daily and accurately.
• Set up and stock stations with supplies.
• Maintain menu and product knowledge.
• Manage orders efficiently and prepare catering orders.
• Handle food safely and store products properly.
• Maintain hygiene, uniform, and appearance per standards.
• Support health department requirements during shifts.
• Clean and maintain kitchen, dish, and prep areas.
• Perform opening/closing duties and shift side work.
• Complete training modules for kitchen team members.

Your Role

• Positions can include these stations: Prep, Salad, Grill, Roll-Up, and Expo.
• Preparing fresh food items daily and accurately
• Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Menu and product knowledge
• Managing orders efficiently
• Preparing catering orders
• Proper food handling and storage of food products
• Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance
• Maintaining health department standards throughout each shift
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen, dish, and prep areas
• Performing shift side work, including opening and closing duties
• Completing all course certifications for kitchen team members in our training platform

All Employees Must

Your Working Conditions / Hours

Hours will vary by store.

You’ll work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment, which includes but is not limited to using equipment such as a flattop and char grill, oven, slicer, mixer, and food processor.
