YM & YWHA of Washington Heights & Inwood seeks an experienced food service administrator to oversee all kitchen operations, staff supervision, and menu planning. You will coordinate with nutritionists, manage purchasing and inventory, and uphold strict sanitation and safety standards in a community center setting.

The role is non-exempt, 35 hours per week with potential for extra paid hours, offering a competitive benefits package and PTO. Prior kosher knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in food service administration.
• Proficiency in kitchen operations and sanitation.
• Knowledge of kosher regulations.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and manage all aspects of food service and kitchen operations.
• Supervise kitchen staff and volunteers; handle recruitment and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with DOH and DFTA hygiene and safety standards.
• Plan menus and coordinate with nutritionists on dietary requirements.
• Manage purchasing, inventory, and food cost controls.
