Tumbleweed Tex Mex Grill & Margarita Bar in Kentucky is seeking a motivated Kitchen Manager to oversee back-of-house operations, hire and train staff, manage opening/closing procedures, and ensure food safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, inventory control, payroll oversight, and the ability to handle guest feedback while maintaining smooth service. This on-site management position offers competitive pay and opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor food cost, waste and counts; develop BOH team.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation and safety standards are met.
• Interact with guests and handle complaints professionally.
• Audit cash drawers and deposits; maintain uniform standards.
• Order and maintain par levels; manage invoices and deposits.
• Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house areas and reports.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated manager who is interested in a Kitchen Manager position at our Kentucky location!

Responsibilities

• Oversee the interviewing, hiring, orientation & training of all back of house employees
• Complete opening & closing paperwork
• Receive & submit invoices
• Ensure company policies & procedures are followed
• Communicate effectively with all staff
• Monitor payroll, create reports & submit payroll
• Audit safe & cash drawers
• Assist in ensuring Tumbleweed food, service, sanitation & safety standards are met
• Calculate, prepare and drop off bank deposits
• Interact with guests through table touches and deal with guest complaints
• Set & maintain Tumbleweed uniform standards
• Maintaining cleanliness of all back of house areas
• Meet and exceed company budget
• Monitor food cost, waste & counts
• Develop BOH employees
• Order and keep product at par levels
• Performs other duties as assigned
