Yay is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee culinary operations at one of our Texas partner schools in the Fort Worth area. You will lead a small team, ensure nutritious meals, and maintain a safe, compliant kitchen environment.

This role may be full-time or part-time depending on service needs, with a competitive hourly pay range of $20–$23 and opportunities to influence menus and food quality while supporting students and families.

Qualifications

• Experience as Kitchen Manager in a school food service or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and ServSafe practices.
• Proven ability to lead a small team and manage labor efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure safe, high‑quality meals.
• Lead and develop kitchen staff, schedule labor, and optimize processes.
• Plan meals from Yay menus, accommodating dietary needs and nutrition standards.
• Coordinate with school and parents on menus and changes.
• Monitor inventory and control food costs.
• Ensure health code compliance and safety standards.
