Yay Lunch is seeking a Kitchen Manager to run the Houston market out of a shared commercial kitchen. You will lead daily operations, supervise prep cooks, and ensure food quality and timely delivery to seven school locations.

This role requires hands-on leadership, batch production expertise, and strong inventory control. You will manage labor within budget, monitor waste, and coach the kitchen team to uphold Yay standards.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in kitchen or food production operations.
• Hands-on cook and leader capable of working the line.
• Experience with batch production, food safety, and inventory management.
• Strong people skills and ability to coach others.
• Organized and dependable with multi-tasking.
• Based in the Houston area with reliable transportation.
• ServSafe Manager certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Willing to drive between Houston locations for spot checks.

Aufgaben

• Runs daily kitchen operations from prep through pick-up, ensuring on-time execution.
• Manages regular call-outs and real-time decisions during production hours.
• Ensures meals meet Yay standards and are delivered to schools on time.
• Serves as primary contact for Yay staff and kitchen Ops Leads on operational matters.
• Conducts weekly checks with Houston locations to confirm service status.
