Job summary

JustFoodForDogs on the Upper East Side seeks a hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead daily operations, champion guest experiences, and optimize production planning. You will coach a team, maintain brand standards, and drive profitability while ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage opening/closing procedures, staffing, and training, fostering a positive culture that delivers exceptional service and results.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of progressive leadership experience in a high-volume quick-service or food production environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong emotional intelligence and team dynamics.
• ServSafe National Food Manager’s Card is required.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead each day with a customer-first mentality and drive guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a strong kitchen presence and ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and train regular staff and provide ongoing feedback.
• Collaborate with Regional/District Manager and General Manager to meet goals and drive profitability.
