Kitchen Manager

Location: Tazza Kitchen in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced sous chef or Kitchen Manager to join our team as a full-time Kitchen Manager. The position may train or be placed at any of our three locations in the Richmond Area.

Our Kitchen Managers start at a competitive salary of $56,000-$60,000/year depending on experience. This full-time position also offers a bonus, health benefits, paid-time off, 401K, cell phone reimbursement, and expert training in wood-fired cooking.

At Tazza Kitchen, the wood oven anchors our open kitchen. The Kitchen Manager leads a productive, cohesive kitchen team to create exceptional food for our guests. Responsibilities include staff training and coaching, inventory management, safety and sanitation protocols, and maintaining standards of recipes, sourcing, and quality to deliver a memorable dining experience.

Our Kitchen Managers must model our core values of teamwork and consistency daily.

Salary: $56,000-$60,000/year plus bonus.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidates Possess:

  • At least 2 years as an AKM, sous chef, or KM in a high-volume, full-service kitchen
  • Ability to earn trust and respect from the team
  • Excellent kitchen competency
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus
  • Professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic
  • Positive attitude under pressure
  • Experience with wood-fired cooking techniques and local sourcing is a plus
