CHEER, INC. Georgetown location seeks a Kitchen Manager to oversee daily meal preparation and ensure sanitation and safety compliance in a busy kitchen. The role includes inventory control, ordering, and supervising kitchen staff and volunteers, with café duties on Fridays.

Strong attention to safety and experience in a health-driven program are essential. The position is full-time, on-site in Georgetown, DE, with hours M-F and some evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year cooking experience.
• Experience with inventory and ordering preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and food handling; ServSafe certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive bulk food and portion control for meals.
• Prepare Congregate and Homebound meals.
• Maintain sanitation and safety records.
• Order meals, paper supplies, and food supplies as needed.
• Oversee site kitchen staff and volunteers; cover Center Director in absence.
• Manage Café operations on Fridays (breakfast and lunch) with POS responsibilities.
• Perform end-of-day cleaning, sanitation, and equipment shutdown.
