Job summary

Thornton Golden Corral is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee back-of-the-house operations, ensuring quality food production, recipe adherence, and cleanliness in line with company standards. You will support the General Manager in daily operations and manage food quality, safety and labor in their absence.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, training, scheduling, and meeting financial targets through efficient production.

Qualifications

• Two to three years’ management experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Education and/or experience normally associated with completion of a degree in business or hospitality.
• Must complete the Certified Kitchen Manager certification within six months of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Achieves excellent food quality by ensuring Back-of-the-House and production co-workers follow Golden Corral recipes and standards.
• Controls food costs by ordering, receiving, storing and producing according to specifications.
• Pre-shift meetings and daily supervision of Back-of-the-House staff.
• Recruits, trains and coaches team members to meet operating standards.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety and company policies.
