Job summary

Youth In Need in Missouri is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead the daily operation of the UCCC kitchen, delivering healthy, nourishing, developmentally appropriate meals for about 12 classrooms and 130 children each day. The role requires strong leadership and commitment to safety.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, obtain ServSafe Manager certification within the required timeframe, and hold CPR and First Aid certifications.

As a Kitchen Manager, provides leadership for the daily operation of the UCCC kitchen and ensures children receive healthy, nourishing, creative, and developmentally appropriate meals and snacks. This role manages the kitchen environment, prepares and/or oversees food production for approximately 12 classrooms and 130 children daily.

This Position

We are interested in a Kitchen Manager with a high school diploma or equivalent. Must obtain/maintain Servsafe Manager certification and other required food safety certification within the required timeframe. Cooking in a childcare setting is preferred.

Ability to be CPR certified and First Aid certified required.

Drivers license is required, local travel required, and must be insurable under Youth In Need auto liability coverage. Must be sensitive to the socioeconomic and cultural characteristics of the service population.

This is an hourly position, starting at $25.00/hour.
