We are seeking a passionate, organized, and dynamic Kitchen Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the cooking kitchen for the seniors of Gratiot County. This includes supervision of kitchen staff, food preparation processes and executing meal deliveries. Responsible for completion detailed paperwork and data entry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, an ability to multi-task, and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults.

• High school diploma or equivalent• Strong knowledge of food safety practices, kitchen equipment, and food preparation. Serv Safe certification preferred.• Experience in meal planning, food ordering, and inventory management.• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and volunteers.• Willingness to drive to off-site locations and home delivery of meals as needed.• A passion for serving older adults and enhancing their quality of life.• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time as part of daily tasks and responsibilities.• Must possess the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, and to comprehend instructions, directions, and safety protocols.• Ability to drive vehicles (e.g., trucks, vans) and/or operate mechanical equipment (e.g., forklifts, machinery) as required by the role.• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and safely, as well as to carry or transport materials as necessary.
