The Opportunity

As our Kitchen Manager, you’ll bring precision, passion, and a strong sense of hospitality to the heart of our club—the kitchen. From our garden brunches to courtside snacks to vibrant social dining experiences, you’ll help lead the culinary team that brings our food vision to life.

You’ll play a key role in our pre-opening phase—helping to hire and train staff, develop systems, and support menu execution in collaboration with the F&B Manager and ownership. As we open and grow, you’ll oversee the daily rhythm of the kitchen, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and a warm, collaborative team culture.

What You’ll Do

Launch the Kitchen

  • Help open and activate the kitchen from the ground up—supporting hiring, training, setup, vendor coordination, and soft openings.
  • Collaborate with the F&B Manager and ownership on kitchen systems, prep flows, and service timing.

Lead Day-to-Day Culinary Operations

  • Oversee back-of-house operations including prep, line, expediting, cleanliness, and food quality.
  • Ensure dishes are executed consistently and meet St. Pete Athletic’s standards for flavor, presentation, and timing.
  • Maintain a smooth and professional kitchen culture, even during high volume and high stakes.
  • Balance daily restaurant service with large-scale event catering.

Coach & Grow the Team

  • Lead, train, and mentor the BOH team, including cooks, prep staff, and dish team.
  • Build a positive kitchen environment where people feel proud, respected, and supported.
  • Ensure all staff are cross-trained and empowered to thrive.

Own the Details

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships in collaboration with the F&B Manager.
  • Implement and monitor systems for food safety, cleanliness, waste control, and efficiency.
  • Monitor BOH labor, food cost, and prep planning to align with financial targets.

Support Culinary Identity & Experience

  • Be a hands-on partner in executing menus that reflect our personality—seasonal, intentional, vibrant, and craveable.
  • Offer feedback on kitchen layout, service logistics, and guest-facing moments as we evolve.

Who You Are

  • You’ve run kitchens in thoughtful, high-volume restaurants or hospitality settings—bonus if you’ve been part of an opening.
  • You know how to manage a line and a team with equal confidence.
  • You bring organization and a calm, focused energy to the kitchen, even in the weeds.
  • You understand how the back of house supports a larger hospitality mission.
  • You’re passionate about mentoring staff and building a positive kitchen culture.
  • You love good food and the systems that make it happen consistently.
