Principal Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, collaborating with Assistant Kitchen Managers and Managers in Training (MITs).
  • Supervise and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to kitchen staff.
  • Maintain quality and consistency of menu items, ensuring standards are met.
  • Provide training on food prep and presentation techniques.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain team members through motivation, recognition, coaching, and development.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while remaining accountable for kitchen operations and staff.
  • Ensure adherence to health and fire safety regulations.
  • Comply with all food handling, safety, and security protocols.
  • Promote safety, sanitation, and security awareness among staff.
  • Contribute to policy development and enforcement during shifts.
  • Perform line cook duties when required, demonstrating proficiency in all kitchen roles.
Requirements
  • 5-6 years of experience in a food production facility, fast-paced restaurant, or full-service dining environment.
  • Culinary school certification or Restaurant Management degree is a plus.
  • Local food handler certification (at applicant's expense).
  • Experience in staff training and development.
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and flexible to work weekends.
  • Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with computers and POS software.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach overhead, and lift up to 50 pounds.
