Job summary

Great Western Dining Service in Lincoln, NE is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee kitchen operations, lead staff, ensure quality and safety, and foster a positive, efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, knowledge of sanitation regulations, and experience managing menus, inventory, and food costs to deliver memorable dining experiences.

This is a full-time, Tuesday-Saturday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm role with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as Kitchen Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and cost control.

  • Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, including food preparation and cooking.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure high standards are met.
  • Develop and implement menus, taking into account seasonal availability and customer preferences.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
  • Address any kitchen-related issues or concerns promptly and effectively.

Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and safety, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence.
