Job summary

PopStroke is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to support the Kitchen Manager and lead the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee operations and personnel in the manager's absence, ensuring food quality and smooth culinary functions.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, training, scheduling, and coordinating events. The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in kitchen roles, and at least 1 year in a supervisory position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook, and expediter with a minimum of 1 year in a management/supervisor role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high standards of service efficiency, sanitation, and safety practices.
• Adhere to operational standards, policies, and local laws.
• Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff to maintain quality and consistency.
• Set up stations and cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen team.
• Monitor ticket times, product quality, and waste; ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain proper plate presentation and recipe adherence.
• Assist with events and function production; ensure kitchen cleanliness.
