Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to master food preparation, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while training Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders. You’ll ensure quality, safety, cleanliness, stock, and equipment maintenance, acting as a role model and promoting teamwork to enhance the customer experience.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership behind the scenes in a fast-paced kitchen, with focus on training, efficiency, and safety.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include cooking and prep to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitoring food quality, waste and inventory; resolving quality issues.
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house Crews.
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicating with Crews and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensuring the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized properly.
• Monitoring equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair; arranging quick repairs when needed.
• Ensuring compliance with safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Filling out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
