Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader who will learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while training others to become future Kitchen Leaders. You will ensure food quality and safety, keep the kitchen organized and stocked, and maintain equipment.

The role emphasizes teamwork and delivering a great customer experience. The Kitchen Leader will be on their feet, support inventory and procedures, and train Crew members to grow into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food quality and inventory, address waste and quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house Crews.
• Develop Crew members toward future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew and customers to ensure great service.
• Keep kitchen clean, sanitized, and safe, and maintain equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Complete MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO) tasks.
