Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Virginia Beach is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while training Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders.

You’ll ensure food quality and safety, keep the kitchen clean and stocked, maintain equipment, and model teamwork to deliver a great customer experience.

This hands-on role rewards initiative, strong communication with Crew and customers, and clear paths for advancement within a values-driven company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Ability to understand Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew and customers to ensure great service.
• Maintain clean and sanitized kitchen areas.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and repairs are addressed promptly.
• Comply with safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO records.
