Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Newark, NJ is seeking a Kitchen Leader who will learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables, while training others to become future Kitchen Leaders.

You will help ensure food quality and safety, keep the kitchen clean and stocked, maintain equipment, and promote teamwork to deliver a great customer experience. Previous restaurant experience and a high school diploma are required, with tuition assistance and benefits from Chipotle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory and resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great service.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintain and repair kitchen equipment as needed.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO documentation.
