Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in New Jersey is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You will order the food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders, while promoting teamwork and delivering a great customer experience.

As a Kitchen Leader, you’ll ensure food quality and safety, keep the kitchen clean, organized, and stocked, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to understand Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order and follow kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively in order to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair; repair as quickly as possible.
• Ensure that the kitchen and all Crew meet safety guidelines.
