Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. in New York seeks a Kitchen Leader to learn to prepare great food, grill meats and sauté vegetables, while training Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders.

You’ll ensure quality and safety, keep the kitchen clean, organized and well stocked, and serve as a role model to promote teamwork and a great customer experience. As part of the Kitchen Leader team, you will help maintain equipment, monitor procedures, and contribute to a positive dining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Restaurant experience is required.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory and resolve quality issues.
• Train Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked kitchen with functioning equipment.
• Promote teamwork and ensure excellent customer service and throughput.
• Ensure safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
