Job summary

Nbutexas in Lafayette, LA is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to join a fast-paced restaurant group. You’ll lead, train, and support the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes in a high-volume setting.

This role emphasizes coaching, inventory control, and strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards. A minimum of 3 years in a full-service restaurant leadership role is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of experience in a full-service restaurant AKM or leadership role in a casual or upscale-casual environment.
• Must love a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to maintain standards, exceed goals, and build relationships.
• Knowledge of completing inventory and ordering.
• Strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards is a must.
• Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Support the EKM through training and coaching new team members
• Build respectful relationships with the crew - BOH and FOH
• Pay close attention to details in a scratch kitchen environment
• Keep operations running smoothly in a very high-volume environment
• Manage recipe execution, portion sizes, prep lists, and help with scheduling
• Display leadership qualities every shift
